Who we are
Canada Barcodes is the Canadian arm of the International Barcodes Network, founded in 2006, working directly in over 120 countries and serving customers in more than 160 worldwide. We’re a small team, trading as International Barcodes Ltd, and we’ve been supplying barcodes since 2009.
We supply retail barcodes, carton barcodes and QR codes to Canadian businesses: a one-off price, no annual fees, and the numbers are yours permanently.

Andrea Smith — Customer Advisor
Andrea handles most of what happens after you order: emails, orders, registrations, bulk quotes and custom requests. If you’ve dealt with us, you’ve probably dealt with Andrea.
Amelia Allis — Customer Advisor
Amelia handles customer questions, so between her and Andrea, there’s usually someone available to pick things up.
David Allis — Owner and Manager
David runs the business and still answers customer emails himself, often late at night and early in the morning, which is why replies sometimes arrive at odd hours.
When you email Canada Barcodes, one of us reads it, and one of us replies. Nobody’s routed to a call centre, and nobody’s reading from a script.
Our office is in Auckland. That’s unusual for a Canadian supplier, so it’s worth explaining why it works.
Barcode numbers aren’t country-specific. A number issued to a Canadian business is the same number wherever it’s issued from, and the retailers scanning it don’t know or care where it was bought. What matters is that the number is unique, legitimate and registered to you. The International Barcodes Network supplies barcodes across borders, and Canada Barcodes is its Canadian service.
The practical upside is timing. We’re working while Canada sleeps, so an email sent at the end of your day usually has a reply waiting when you start the next one. Orders paid by card or PayPal are delivered automatically within minutes, whatever the hour.
What we believe about barcodes
Most of our customers are buying a barcode for the first time, and the industry doesn’t make that easy. We’d rather explain than upsell. If you don’t need something, we’ll say so. If your product needs something we don’t sell, we’ll point you to whoever does.
