Static or dynamic?

Static suits a permanent destination, like a homepage or contact page.

Dynamic suits anything that might move, or where you want to know how often it’s scanned: promotions, manuals, or packaging that outlives a URL. Two-minute explainer.

Keeping a dynamic code running

Renew and redirect in the Customer Portal anytime. You can renew up to two years in advance if you’d rather not think about it.

If you don’t renew, the printed code still scans but no longer takes people anywhere. Scans are unlimited, subject to fair use.

Printing your QR code

Check your URL: a static code can’t be changed once printed, so double-check the address before you order.
Size: print at least 2cm × 2cm, and larger if it’ll be scanned from a distance, such as on a poster. Use the SVG or PDF file so it stays sharp.
Contrast: dark code on a light background, with clear space around it.
Test it: scan a printed proof with your phone before a full print run.

Common questions

Do static codes expire? No. They work for as long as your web address does.

Can I add my logo or brand colours? Yes. Our designers can make a customised QR code that still scans reliably.

Can I switch a static code to dynamic later? No. The type is fixed when the code is made, so choose dynamic if you might ever need to change the destination.
