Barcode Artwork Test
We have a new service where we can test your barcode artwork to give you an idea of whether it will scan well.
This is not an official Barcode Verification Report (which costs $59), as some Supermarkets and Hardware chains require. But is a test using the same equipment and giving the same information.
This test will be done on your artwork – so you can have more confidence about the quality of the barcode before you go to print – or it will tell you what problems there are with the barcode artwork.
To do this test, please purchase the quantity you require ($20 CAD each), and then email us a pdf of the barcode artwork. The pdf must be A4 or smaller in size and 100%. We will print it on a laser printer in B&W (so it won’t test any other print colours) and test it, then email the report to you.
You can view some sample reports below. Grades vary from A (excellent) to C (OK) to D & below, failing.

Barcode Registration
If you purchase Barcode Registration, you will be able to register your barcode number and product information on the International Barcodes Database (information registered on that database filters through to several other major online databases as well). Please enter your barcode number(s) in the “additional information” section on the checkout page. Once we receive your order, we will email you to request proof of ownership (so that we can verify that you are the owner of your barcode number). We will then activate your barcode and provide instructions for registering it (please note that Registration is included with any of our Barcode Packages).

Code-128 or Code-39 Images
Here, you can purchase sequences of either Code 39 or Code 128 images. These will be supplied to you in whichever format you prefer (PDF, PNG & SVG) via a shared Dropbox folder.
Please specify in the ‘Additional Information’ section (on the checkout page) the format (e.g., JPEG, Code 128), size (e.g., 3cm wide x 2cm high), and sequence you would like. Something like ‘1000-1999’ works well for a lot of 1000. The sequence can be either alphanumeric or numeric only. If you don’t specify a format, we use Code 128 as the default format.
Code 128 or Code 39 barcodes are commonly used for library books, membership cards, vouchers, SKU codes, and internal inventory tracking, among other applications.

Custom QR codes
Standard QR codes, although easily recognisable, can be an ugly part of product labelling or your design. We can make your QR code with colour and logos to better match your brand image.
If you have a good designer, they can modify the QR codes for you. However, this is often expensive, and sometimes they can inadvertently damage the actual QR code, rendering it unscannable.
We have dedicated designers who can provide custom QR code designs for you.
This product includes;
- a static or dynamic QR code (see below for the difference between static and dynamic)
- QR code images are supplied in 3 formats (PDF, PNG & SVG).
In the comments box on the checkout page, tell us about your company’s brand and how you will be using the QR code. Please let us know the colours you would like. Please email us your logo as a PNG or JPEG file. Then our designers can create a custom QR code for you.
The cost of a Custom QR Code is $40. Any extra design time is charged at $15 per hour.

There are limits to the changes we can make to a QR code, as the overriding aim is to maintain its ability to be scanned. We can introduce two colours (with gradients), add a custom logo to the centre and alter the QR code’s foreground elements.

Static and Dynamic
STATIC QR Codes
Static QR codes encode your URL directly in the QR code. They are permanent. They will work as long as your website URL remains the same. They can’t be changed, as the URL is encoded directly in the QR Code. They have unlimited scans. Static QR codes can also be used for purposes beyond URLs, such as encoding text, creating v-business cards, and sending email or SMS messages.DYNAMIC QR Codes
These utilise our Dynamic QR Code service, which allows the target URL to be changed repeatedly in the future if necessary.Unlimited scans: Scans of the Dynamic QR Code are UNLIMITED so long as you don’t abuse the QR code with millions of scans that cause technical problems, such as crashed servers.
Functions for life: The Dynamic QR Code, with its redirection capability, will be FREE for 2 years and will continue to function thereafter for as long as you pay a $20 fee every 2 years.
FREE unlimited redirection of the target URL: When you make an initial purchase, you specify a target URL. After that, you can redirect your dynamic QR code via our website portal at any time, day or night.
Tracking Reports: Do you need to see how often, at what time of day, on which day, and in which country your QR codes are being scanned? Order a dynamic QR code, and we can provide TRACKING REPORTS.

ITF-14 Barcode images
INSTANT EMAIL DELIVERY: Your ITF-14 Carton Code images will be emailed through to you in 3 formats (.pdf, .svg, .png) as soon as you’ve placed your order.
When you get to the checkout page please put your EAN-13 barcode number into the “additional information” section. This will be used to create your ITF-14 barcode (up to 10 ITF-14 Images can be created from each EAN-13 code). Our system is automated – if you supply valid EAN13 barcode numbers when you get to the checkout page then our system will create the ITF14 barcodes automatically and email them to you in a few minutes.
If you are purchasing an EAN-13 barcode at the same time as an ITF-14 barcode, then just type “n/a” into the ‘additional information’ section (our system will assign an EAN-13 barcode to you, and then use that barcode to create the ITF-14 carton code images).
