Our Barcode Guarantee
Our barcode guarantee is simple: the number you buy is yours, it works, and you pay for it once. Here’s exactly what that means.
What our barcode guarantee covers
Your number is unique to you. Every EAN-13 and UPC-A number we sell has never been used on a retail product before and will never be sold to anyone else. We check each one against our database before it leaves us.
One payment, forever. No joining fee, no annual membership fee, no renewals. You buy the number once, and it stays yours.
Legal to use worldwide. EAN-13 numbers are suitable for international use, including across Europe. UPC-A numbers are the better choice if North America is your main market. Our numbers are accepted by retailers in over 160 countries.
Checked for prior use before sale. We verify that no one else is using the number before we sell it to you.
Print-ready images in every format you need. Barcode images are supplied at high resolution in PDF, PNG, and SVG formats, ready to hand to your packaging designer.
Straight answers. The information on this site is accurate to the best of our knowledge. If you ask us something we can’t help with, we’ll tell you, and point you to someone who can.
Your guarantee certificate
Every order includes a guarantee certificate naming you as the owner of the numbers you bought. It’s the document to send if a retailer, distributor, or marketplace asks you to show where your barcode originated.
You can also register your product for free on the International Barcodes Database, which creates a dated public record tied to your number. See what barcode registration is.
What our barcode guarantee doesn’t cover
We’re not GS1. Our numbers come from prefixes originally issued by GS1 to another company, so a GS1 lookup will show that company rather than you. That’s true of every barcode reseller. If you need a prefix registered under your own business name in GS1’s database, you need to contact GS1 directly.
Amazon Brand Registry. Amazon checks numbers against GS1 for a match to your brand. Our guarantee doesn’t create that match. If Amazon is your main channel, read what Amazon requires before you buy.
A handful of large retailers. See our barcode acceptance page. Most retailers scan the number and never ask where it came from. A small number specify GS1 membership in their supplier terms. If you already have a retailer lined up, ask them first; we’d rather you checked than guessed.
Everything else, we stand behind.
